I am a civil celebrant who can help you plan your special day exactly how you want it to be, whether it’s something quite simple or traditional, or something more unusual and quirky.

As a former BBC journalist, I am a skilled public speaker and copywriter; every ceremony I deliver is professionally written and conducted.

Civil ceremonies don’t replace your legal formalities – you still need to be legally married by a registrar, but you might want to invite more guests than can be accommodated, or want to include religious/cultural elements which aren’t allowed, at a registry office. You may want a different venue, or to get married abroad and to share your wedding celebration when you return.

I can give suggestions for poems and readings, or wording for any promises and I can offer guidance on symbolic/spiritual elements and involving others.

You’ll be sent a copy of my script beforehand to amend as you’d like and afterwards, you’ll be given a copy/ies as a keepsake.

I’m based in Jersey in the Channel Islands, but I’m able to travel. I can also work with you if you live in the UK, or overseas, and want to plan your ceremony in Jersey.
